Big Bend Camping: Terlingua Tent Campgrounds & RV Camps

Big Bend Camping, Terlingua Campgrounds

Big Bend Camping: Terlingua Ranch campgrounds include 7 private tent campsites, 2 open camp grounds with shared water spigots, and a horse camp for dry horse trailer camping.

Regardless of season, the West Texas Rio Grande Big Bend region offers some of the best tent camping in the USA. Terlingua Ranch Lodge is a top tenting choice, with seven private tent camp sites located in the southeast quadrant of our 425 acre resort – right along the base of Whitehouse Mountain (elevation 4,420 ft).

We also have two open campgrounds: Campground A and Campground B. Campground A lies in the southwest quadrant, just west of our lower RV Camps, while Campground B is located just south of those sites. Campgrounds A and B each offer a shared water spigot. Our Horse Camp is just south of Campground A. We also offer a horse corral, stable and pens.

“So quiet and comfortable! It’s settled into a valley surrounded by big sky, ridges [and] mountainscapes… The beds were extremely comfortable, and the sheets were so soft!”–Cindy M.

“Full service with restaurant, pool, laundry facility. Very clean and price is good… Personnel are very friendly… I highly recommend to stay here visiting Big Bend National Park.”–Tina K.

“There was a small fridge, and a nice-sized closet. The pool was large, clean and refreshing. The laundry cabin was big [and] even had a book-borrow shelf with lots of choices.”–Cindy M.

“Just before dawn I saw the most amazing starlit sky of my life. There were more stars than sky and a clear view of the Milky Way. It was worth that alone coming out here…”–Jay B.

“[The] front desk took excellent care of us. Great accommodations. It is out by itself which means quiet and great star gazing. Great food at the Bad Rabbit Cafe.”–Raymond M.
