Terlingua Ranch Lodge resort is a unique Big Bend hotel alternative offering both lodging and camping accommodations, convenient amenities, engaging activities and scenic attractions.

Your best Terlingua hotel alternative, our Lodge is located in south Brewster County with Big Bend National Park to the east and Big Bend Ranch State Park to the west. It covers 425 acres and consists of the main office and gift shop, the Bad Rabbit Cafe, guest cabins, pull-through and back-in RV parks, private campsites and open campgrounds, an airstrip, a horse corral, a swimming pool, bathhouse, laundrymat and many other amenities.

We are in the Chihuahuan Desert and it is best to have a full gas tank when you leave Alpine heading south on Texas Highway 118. The nearest bank is in Study Butte. The nearest pharmacy is in Alpine. And although we have a restaurant on the grounds, you may want to bring drinks and snacks with you. We do sell beer, wine and ice.

Big Bend RV Parks: Terlingua Ranch RV Park has eight pull-thru campsites with power, water and sewer connections plus twelve back-in camps with power and water hookups plus a dump station!

Conveniently located between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua Ranch Lodge resort offers not only cabins and campgrounds but also scenic recreational vehicle sites with full hookups. This is the place to stay on your next West Texas RV getaway! We actually have two RV parks for you to choose from:

  • Our upper pull-through sites (#14 through #21) are located at the base of Whitehouse Mountain. They provide offer 15, 20, 30 and 50 amp electricity service plus water and sewer connections and can easily accommodate larger RVs.
  • Our lower back-in sites (#1 through #12) are located near our swimming pool and Bad Rabbit Cafe. Designed for camping trailers and RVs less than 25 feet, they offer 15, 20, 30 and 50 amp power with water hookup and a dump station nearby.

There are no cable or phone connections in our RV parking sites but all guests are welcome to enjoy our swimming pool, bathhouse, horseshoe pit and other resort amenities. Please note that the last three miles of Terlingua Ranch Road are unpaved but RV-friendly – and our road crews aim to keep it that way!

Big Bend Vacation Rentals: Terlingua Ranch vacation rental cabins offer great views of the surrounding mountains by day – and a sky full of stars at night!

If you’re looking for unique Big Bend vacation rentals, Terlingua Ranch Lodge offers eight cabins, each with four guest rooms. Rent one room, two, three or all four! Each cozy, clean and quiet cabin guest room comes with shared deck access and great views of the surrounding Terlingua area mountains by day and a universe full of stars and galaxies at night.

All of our Terlingua vacation rental cabin guest rooms have new queen beds, a full bath, heating, air conditioning, writing table and a dresser. We provide clean towels and washcloths, soap and shampoo, but you may want to bring your own hair dryer.

Our accommodations are for people who want to get away from it all. There is no TV or phone service, but we do have Wi-Fi throughout the grounds – which means you can enjoy the endless selection of free shows and movies sites like YouTube have to offer.

Food and beverages are available at the Bad Rabbit Cafe. No cooking is allowed in the rooms, but fire rings are located by each deck for outdoor cooking when burn bans are not in effect.
